KGS-Zinn Travel BikeThe coolest thing about blogs and the web is the possibility of meeting new people with a common interest. I got an email this morning from Bobby who has a very cool blog called Urban Cyclotron where he talks about travel bikes. He found the KGS site and noticed that I had designed a cool coupled travel bike stem for the Zinn Travel bike. I have an exclusive relationship with Lennard Zinn regarding travel bikes. KGS Bikes is the only Zinn dealer in the world. Lennard is known as one of the best bicycle designers ever, is a renouned author and journalist for VeloNews.

More and more people are realizing that the best way to deal with airports and taxis is to use a travel bike if at all possible. They pack into airline approved suitcases with no bicycle surcharge, you don’t worry about the TSA trashing the bike when opening the box for inspection and you don’t need a minivan for a taxi when you arrive at your destination.

Here are some links you may find interesting:

Here is an article on the KGS Bikes website about travel bikes. The KGS Zinn travel bike is the world’s first completely engineered travel bike that can be packed or unpacked in 15 minutes and still maintain it’s full sized performance bike characteristics.

Here is the packing sequence showing how you can disassemble and pack the bike in less than 15 minutes.

Thanks so much for looking and commenting!
