I had an opportunity to photograph a couple of biycles this week and here is one of them. I am posting a set on Flickr but wanted to give a sneek peek on this one of a kind workhorse.

The Geneo and it’s tri buddy, Crono, are full custom, monocoque high modulus carbon fiber frames. While that’s a mouthfull, the folks at Guru have done a great job on every project I have done with them.

This particular bike has a paintjob of their design, as I challenged their design crew to come up with a new paint scheme with a Texas theme. They called this “Texas Patriot” and added the KGS Bikes logo for a nice touch.

When the frame arrived, I had just enough time to build the bike and ride it in the Real Ale Ride in Blanco TX. The problem is, I wanted to put Campagnolo 11 Speed components on the bike and I didn’t have a full set in stock, with no time to order.

I dug into the parts bin and found a set of Tiso front and rear derailleurs that I bought with the intention of trying them. On they went, along with Campy Record 10 shifters off a tandem and we were in business!

I like the way the tiso stuff looks in these photos but they don’t shift nearly as well as the new 11 speed will. The best part is, I rode the bike in the Real Ale Ride and the frame is incredible. The ride is somewhat inbetween the plushness of the Serotta Meivici and the subtle stiffness of the Parlee.

Thanks for looking and I always appreciate your comments.
