Ironman 70.3 World Championships

I had an emergency call from my friends Mark and Julie Crosno last week as something had changed on her bike setup. I cleared my calendar and drove to Houston the next day as Julie was distraught, this close to the Ironman 70.3 Worlds in Clearwater. I wrote about this in the Ezine last week.

Well, I have awesome news to report. Earlier this year, I changed her setup and she went from a 5:05 to a 4:55 at New Orleans 70.3. Today, Julie had a Personal Record, finished in 4:42, averaging 24 MPH over 56 miles and finished 22nd in her field. I am so happy to see the combination of a little work on my part and a lot of training on Julie’s part result in a finish this good in her first World’s.

Here are her splits from the results page:

Bib Number: 1063
Swim: 31:07
Bike: 2:20:35
Run: 1:44:41
Total: 4:42:49

Congrats Julie on a job well done!
