While we have been talking about the benefits of super high intensity training, specifically Peak 8 training, (sorry about the need to register, but it is free) much of it has centered around finding a hill outside that will suffice to provide the resistance.  The Tacx Fortius Multiplayer trainer that is set up at KGS Bikes is perfect for these workouts that need to happen regularly, but don’t require much time.

We wrote a Peak 8 workout and programmed it into the Catalyst ergometer mode of the Fortius. Shown is a screen grab of one of Kevin Saunders’ first Peak 8 workouts in a long time.

Since the trainer is set up with a computer and a big flat screen monitor, please consider bringing your bike and doing a Peak 8 workout. It will take a little less than 45 minutes and it won’t cost you a dime! Just bring your bike, your cycling clothing, shoes and a towel. You can schedule an appointment as early as 5:30 AM, or as late as you like, seven days a week, assuming there are no conflicts.

Give the Fortius a try and we bet you will want one to use all year.
